This matter is before the court on Petitioner’s Motion for Leave to Serve Subpoenas for
the Production of Documents on Non-Parties. (DE 42 Petitioner seeks records regarding
__.)
Respondent’s immigration status, residency, and work authorization from the U.S. Department of
State; U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, an agency of the Department of Homeland
Security; and Velasquez & Associates, PLLC prior to the merits hearing scheduled for April 17,
2017. He has attached draft subpoenas to his Motion. Petitioner does not ask the Court to resolve
any objections to the subpoenas preemptively. Pursuant to Federal Rules of Civil Procedure Rules
26 and 45, the Court GRANTS Petitioner’s Motion. (DE 42

The Court certifies that the information Petitioner seeks is needed by the Court in the
interest of the ends of justice in this pending case before the Court. See 8 U.S.C. § 1202(f)(1). The
information sought will help the Court determine the merits of Petitioner’s claim and defenses that
may be raised by Respondent under the Hague Convention.
