JOINT STATEMENT SUBMITTED IN RESPONSE TO
THE COURT’S JULY 24, 2012, ORDER
NOW COME Plaintiffs and Defendant Duke University, each by and through its
respective counsel, and respectfully submit the following joint statement in response to
the Court’s July 24, 2012, Order:
1.

On July 24, 2012, the Court entered an Order [Doc. # 282] concerning two

motions for protective order filed by Defendant Duke University [Doc. #249, #262] (the
“Motions”). That Order directed the parties to meet and confer with respect to the
discovery disputes in the Motions. In the event that any discovery disputes remained
unresolved after that meeting, the Order further directed the parties to file a joint
statement setting out the results of the meeting as to each of the specific discovery
disputes that remain unresolved.
2.

Counsel for Plaintiffs and counsel for Defendant Duke University conferred

by telephone regarding the discovery disputes in the Motions.
3.

As a result of their conference, Plaintiffs and Defendant Duke University

hereby respectfully report to the Court that no discovery disputes in the Motions require
resolution by the Court at this time.
