Pursuant to Local Civil Rule 83.1(e)(1), undersigned counsel hereby gives
notice of substitution of counsel for Defendants Duke University, Richard
Brodhead, John Burness, Robert Dean, Matthew Drummond, Victor J. Dzau,
Aaron Graves, Gary N. Smith, and Robert K. Steel (the “Duke Defendants”) in the
above-captioned matter. Richard W. Ellis, J. Donald Cowan, Jr., Meghan S.
Thelen, and Grant W. Garber, who have appeared as counsel of record for the
Duke Defendants [DE 8, 225, 280, 286], will no longer serve as counsel for the
