MEMORANDUM ORDER
AND NOW, this 8th day of November, 2011, upon due consideration of plaintiffs' motion
to amend and the parties' submissions in conjunction therewith, IT IS ORDERED that [51] the
motion be, and the same hereby is, granted. Plaintiffs shall file their amended complaint without
undue delay.
The grounds advanced in opposition to the motion are unavailing. There is no principle
of law that restricts ยง 1983 liability to the individual most directly connected to the alleged
violation of a plaintiff's constitutional rights and as previously noted the invocation of
affirmative defenses is premature at this juncture.
