Warden of Greenville County
C/A No. 8:17-1224-MGL
Petitioner, proceeding pro se, filed this action seeking habeas corpus relief under
28 U.S.C. § 2254. He alleged he was in custody pursuant to his failure to pay child support
under a state family court order. By Order dated June 14, 2017, Petitioner was given an
opportunity to sign the § 2254 Petition in order to bring the case into proper form for
evaluation and possible service of process. Petitioner did not receive the Order, as it was
returned to the Court as undeliverable mail and stamped “return to sender, unable to
forward.” The record in this case indicates no attempt by Petitioner to contact the Court
since filing the Petition. Additionally, it appears that Petitioner was seeking release from
the detention center, and he apparently has been released. This case is dismissed,
without prejudice, pursuant to Rule 41 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. See Link
v. Wabash R.R. Co., 370 U.S. 626 (1962).
IT IS SO ORDERED.
