SAMSUNG DEFENDANTS’ UNOPPOSED MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME TO
RESPOND TO THE COMPLAINT
TO THE HONORABLE JUDGE OF SAID COURT:
I.
NOW COMES, Defendants Samsung Electronics America, Inc. (“SEA”) and Samsung
Electronics Co., Ltd. (“SEC”) and hereby move to extend the time for SEA and SEC to answer,
object to, move, or otherwise respond to Plaintiff’s Complaint from May 24, 2011 up to and
including May 27, 2011.
II.
Plaintiff Vertical Computer Systems, Inc. has indicated it is unopposed to this request.

III.
SEA and SEC seek this extension of time not for delay, but for good cause so that justice
may be served.
IV.
WHEREFORE, SEA and SEC respectfully request that the Court extend the time to
respond to the Complaint until May 27, 2011.
