JOINT MOTION FOR ENTRY OF PROTECTIVE ORDER (DKT. NO. 80)
On May 30, 2014, Plaintiffs Rockstar Consortium US LP and Netstar
Technologies LLC (“Plaintiffs”) and Defendant Google Inc. (“Google”) jointly submitted a
proposed Protective Order and briefing regarding the disputed provisions of the proposed
Protective Order. (Dkt. No. 80.) Plaintiffs wish to advise the Court of an error in its brief. (Dkt.
80, Ex. B). With respect to the parties’ dispute regarding paragraph 11(j) of the proposed
Protective Order, Plaintiffs’ brief states: “Defendant suggests in its briefing—for the very first
time—that it does not require hand-delivery [of printed pages of source code] by counsel, but
that a courier will suffice.” (Id.) Google notified Plaintiffs today that it had raised the possibility
of using a courier during the May 29, 2014 telephonic meet and confer. Plaintiffs take Google at
their word. In view of this, Plaintiffs respectfully request that the court disregard the statement
that Google raised this issue in its briefing “for the very first time.” (Id.)
