CIVIL ACTION NO. 4:11-CV-244-Y $ S ORDER DENYING DEFENDANTS' MOTION FOR LEAVE TO FILE SURREPLY IN OPPOSITION TO PLAINTIFF'S MOTION TO COMPEL SECOND DEPOSITION OF SABRE WITNESSES Pending before the Court is Defendants Sabre Inc., Sabre Holdings Corporation, and Sabre Travel International Ltd.'s Motion for Leave to File Suneply in Opposition to American's Motion to Compel the Second Deposition of Sabre Witnesses [doc. # 400], filed August 30, 2012. Under the local rules, the movant is generally entitled to have the final word. See Ponder Research Group, LLP v. Aquatic Navigation, No. 4:09-CV-322-Y, 2009 WL 2868456, at *13 (N.D. Tex. Sept. 4,2009); see also Local Rules 7.1,56.7 of the Local Civil Rules of the Northern District of Texas. Indeed, this Court has previously noted that surreplies are "highly disfavored" and are permitted only in "exceptional or extraordinary circumstances." Lacher v. West, 147 F. Supp. 2d 538,539-40 (N.D. Tex. 2001). After review of Defendants' motion, proposed surreply, and Plaintiff s response, the Court concludes that Defendants have not demonstrated that such circumstances exist to exceptional justiff the filing of the surreply. Consequently, the Court concludes that Defendants' motion should be DENIED. Based on the foregoing, it is ORDERED that Defendants' Motion for Leave to File Suneply in Opposition to American's Motion to Compel the Second Deposition of Sabre Witnesses [doc. # 400] is DENIED.
