Re: American Airlines, Inc. (“American”) v. Travelport Ltd., et al., No. 4:11-CV-244-Y (N.D. Tex.)
Dear Judge Means:
This letter is to inform the Court that American and Defendants Travelport Limited and Travelport, LP
(collectively, “Travelport”) have reached an agreement to resolve the above-referenced action, subject to
bankruptcy court approval. American is preparing a motion seeking bankruptcy court approval of the
settlement now, and will keep this Court informed of the progress. Further, the releases only become
effective after about ninety (90) days so long as Travelport does not file for bankruptcy, or in the event it
does, assumes the settlement agreement and certain other agreements.
Accordingly, American and Travelport are currently filing herewith a motion to stay the abovereferenced action in relation to American’s claims against Travelport and Travelport’s claims against
American only. The settlement with Travelport does not affect American’s claims against Orbitz
Worldwide, LLC in any way.
Please let us know if the Court has any questions.
Sincerely,
s/ Yolanda Cornejo Garcia
