Cvent, Inc. v. Eventbrite, Inc. et al Doc. 8 FOR THE EASTERN DISTRICT OF VIRGINIA 2010 MAY 10 P U: 31 IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FILED McLean, VA 22102, 8180 Greensboro Drive Plaintiff, v. CVENT, INC. I i ] CLERK US DISTRICT COURT ALEXANDRIA. VIRGINIA Civil Action No. / - (0 CV EVENTBRITE, INC. 410 Townsend Street San Francisco, CA 94107 entities of unknown nature, and DOES 1-10, individuals and/or business Defendants. PLAINTIFF CVENT, INC 'S MOTION AND memorandum IN SiTPPnPT THEREOF FOR LEAVF TO EXCEED PAGE LIMITS Plaintiff Cvent, Inc. ("Cvent"), by counsel, pursuant to Local Rule 7(F)(3), hereby respectfully moves for leave to exceed the page limit and file a Memorandum of Points and Authorities in Support of Its Motion for Temporary Restraining Order and Preliminary Injunction in excess of page limits as follows: Plaintiffs case concerns multiple claims, of which four are pertinent to the injunctive relief sought in the instant motion. While Plaintiff believes the arguments in favor of its likely success on the merits to be clear and incontrovertible, considerable evidentiary support is required to make Plaintiffs likely success clear on each of these claims. The general field of law (internet and computer law) and its particular facet here (website scraping) are not intuitive Dockets.Justia.com or well-trod, and required some limited elucidation. Finally, Plaintiff has made every effort to limit the extent of the overage, which amounts to only five pages of substantive text. Wherefore, Plaintiff Cvent respectfully requests that the Court grant this Motion allowing Cvent leave to file a brief in excess of normal page limits.
