THE HONORABLE JOHN C. COUGHENOUR 1 2 3 4 5 6 UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT WESTERN DISTRICT OF WASHINGTON AT SEATTLE 7 8 9 MICHELLE SPRUEL, 10 Plaintiff, MINUTE ORDER v. 11 12 CASE NO. C17-1095-JCC KING COUNTY, et al., 13 Defendants. 14 15 16 17 The following Minute Order is made by direction of the Court, the Honorable John C. Coughenour, United States District Judge: This matter comes before the Court on pro se Plaintiff Michelle Spruel’s Proposed 18 Motion for Order (Dkt. No. 9). It appears Plaintiff is making a motion to seal, and the Court 19 treats it as such. (See id.) However, Plaintiff does not identify which documents should be sealed 20 and why. Stating “the documents of the case” is insufficient. (Dkt. No. 9-1.) Further, the motion 21 states “Defendant, appearing ex parte, moves that the documents referenced below be placed 22 under court seal.” (Dkt. No. 9-3.) Plaintiff then signs as “Attorney for Defendant.” (Id.) Plaintiff 23 has not given the Court enough information to make a decision, and filed a motion as the wrong 24 party. Accordingly, Plaintiff’s Proposed Motion for Order (Dkt. No. 9) is DENIED. 25 // 26 // MINUTE ORDER C17-1095-JCC PAGE - 1 1 DATED this 11th day of August 2017. 2 William M.
