The Court, concerned about its jurisdiction over defendant and the 17 choice of law provision in the Settlement Agreement, noted the motion for consideration and 18 gave defendant an opportunity to respond. Defendant filed no opposition, but communicated to 19 plaintiff that “[c]onsistent with the Confession of Judgment that Neutrino previously executed 20 and delivered to PeopleConnect, Neutrino does not oppose entry by the Court of the agreed 21 judgment against it.” Dkt. # 15. 22 The Court finds that, having negotiated and entered into a contract of settlement with a 23 resident of this forum, defendant is subject to the jurisdiction of this Court. The Court therefore 24 has the power to enter judgment against it. Because the Confession of Judgment contains no 25 choice of law provision, the Court finds that it is valid under Washington law and hereby 26 ORDER DIRECTING ENTRY OF JUDGMENT 1 ORDERS and FINDS that: 2 Pursuant to the terms of the Confession of Judgment (Dkt. # 2), the Clerk of Court is 3 directed to enter judgment against defendant and in favor of plaintiff in the principal sum of 4 $210,378.98, plus $4,000.00 in attorney’s fees and post-judgment interest at 12%.
