This matter comes before the Court sua sponte. On November 8, 2024, Plaintiffs filed
15
proof of service to Defendants. Dkt. No. 38. Defendants’ deadline to serve their Answer was
16
November 29, 2024. Fed. R. Civ. Proc. 12(a)(1)(A)(ii) (“A defendant must serve an answer …
17
within 21 days after being served with the summons and complaint[.]”). Defendants have yet to
18
appear in this case. Four months have passed since Plaintiffs served Defendants, and they have
19
not moved for entry of default.

Accordingly, the Court ORDERS Plaintiffs to show cause why this matter should not be
21
dismissed for failure to prosecute no later than March 21, 2025. Absent a timely response, the
22
Court will dismiss this case without prejudice.
