IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FO R THE WESTERN DISTRICT OF WISCONSIN --------------------------------------------JAM ES EDWARD GRANT, ORDER Plaintiff, 0 8 - cv -6 7 2 - b b c v. T R EN T O N SCHAFER, D efendan t. --------------------------------------------Judgm ent was entered in this civil rights lawsuit on July 23, 2009 after I granted d e f en dan t's motion for summary judgment on plaintiff's excessive force claim. In a S eptem b er 1, 2009 order, I denied plaintiff's motion for relief from judgment under Fed. R. C iv. P. 60. Now plaintiff has filed a document titled "Petition for Supervisory Writ" in w hich he restates some of his allegations against defendant Trenton Schafer and asks that the judgment in this case be "reversed [or] adjudged null and void." However, he provides no explanation of how the July 23, 2009 summary judgment order was erroneous. I will co n stru e plaintiff's submission as a second motion for relief from judgment under Rule 60 an d deny it because he fails to establish grounds for relief from judgment in this case. 1 OR DER IT IS ORDERED that the "Motion for Supervisory Writ" filed by plaintiff James G rant, dkt. #47, is DENIED. E n tered this 8t h day of February, 2010. B Y THE COURT: /s/ _ _ _ __ _ _ __ _ _ __ _ _ __ _ _ __ _ _ __ _ _ __ _ _ __ _ B AR B AR A B. CRABB D istrict Judge 2
