JURISDICTION OF THE DISTRICT COURT The District Court’s jurisdiction is contained in an appeal of an adverse decision of the Commissioner of Social Security under §216(i) and 223 of the Social Security Act, 42 U.S.C. §416(i) and 423(d). Pursuant to 42 U.S.C. §405(g), Plaintiff-Appellant, Leah Garbisch, sought judicial review of the final administrative decision of the Commissioner of Social Security (SSA or Commissioner). II. JURISDICTION OF THE COURT OF APPEALS This appeal is taken from the final decision and judgment of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin entered on April 5, 2021 and April 5, 2021 by the Honorable James Peterson. D.C. Dkt. No. 17,18. The United States Court of Appeals has jurisdiction to decide this case pursuant to 42 U.S.C. §405(g) and 28 U.S.C. § 1291.
