IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FOR THE DISTRICT OF ARIZONA The United States of America, Plaintiff, v. The State of Arizona; and Janice K. Brewer, Governor of the State of Arizona, in her Official Capacity, Defendants. Pursuant to LRCiv 7.3, defendants State of Arizona and Janice K. Brewer and plaintiff United States of America jointly stipulate and request that the Court extend the time for defendants to respond to the operative complaint in this action. On December 10, 2010, the Court issued an order (doc. 133) granting in part and denying in part defendants' motion to dismiss. In the order, the Court granted plaintiff 30 days from the date of the order "to file any amended Complaint." Accordingly, the No. 10-CV-01413-PHX-SRB STIPULATION REGARDING TIME FOR DEFENDANTS TO RESPOND TO COMPLAINT (First Request)

deadline for plaintiff to file any amended complaint is January 10, 2011. The parties agree that defendants should have a similar amount of time following January 10, 2011 to file a response to the operative complaint. Accordingly, the parties stipulate and request that the deadline for defendants to respond to the complaint should be extended to February 11, 2011. A proposed order is submitted herewith.
