(Dkt. No. 1) 20 Defendant removed the action to this court on June 13, 2014 on the 21 basis of federal question jurisdiction. (Id.) It appears, however, 22 that there is no federal subject matter jurisdiction in this 23 action. Plaintiff’s unlawful detainer complaint raises only issues 24 of state law, and the amount in controversy does not exceed 25 $75,000. 26 District courts have original jurisdiction over “all civil 27 actions arising under the Constitution, laws, or treaties of the 28 United States. 28 U.S.C. § 1331.
