1 IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT 2 FOR THE NORTHERN DISTRICT OF CALIFORNIA 3 4 No. C 11-06230 YGR (PR) In re SAMUEL ANDERSON, 5 ORDER OF TRANSFER 6 / 7 8 Plaintiff, a state prisoner, has filed a pro se civil rights action pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983. 9 The acts complained of occurred at the High Desert State Prison, which is located in the United States District Court For the Northern District of California 10 Eastern District of California, and it appears that Defendants reside in that district. Venue, 11 therefore, properly lies in that district and not in this one. See 28 U.S.C. § 1391(b). 12 Accordingly, in the interest of justice and pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1406(a), this action is 13 TRANSFERRED to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California.
