ORDER OF TRANSFER

Plaintiff, a prisoner at Salinas Valley State Prison, has filed a pro se complaint
15
under 42 U.S.C. § 1983 alleging wrongdoing by correctional staff at Wasco State
16
Prison. A substantial part of the events or omissions giving rise to the claim(s)
17
occurred, and any viable defendants reside, in the County of Kern, which lies within the
18
venue of the Eastern District of California. See 28 U.S.C. § 84(b). Venue therefore
19
properly lies in the Eastern District. See id. § 1391(b).
20
Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED that, in the interest of justice and pursuant to 28
21
U.S.C. § 1406(a), this action be TRANSFERRED to the United States District Court for
22
the Eastern District of California.
23
The clerk shall transfer this matter and terminate all pending motions as moot.
