GIBBS, Plaintiff, ORDER GRANTING REQUEST FOR EXTENSION OF TIME 12 United States District Court For the Northern District of California 11 (Doc. #4) 13 / 14 15 Plaintiff Kenneth Gibbs, an inmate at Pelican Bay State 16 Prison in Crescent City, California, commenced this action on 17 February 26, 2013 by submitting a letter to the Court. On the same 18 date, the Clerk of the Court sent Plaintiff written notice that he 19 must submit his claims on the Court’s civil rights complaint form 20 and he must also file an application to proceed in forma pauperis 21 (IFP) or pay the $350.00 filing fee. The Clerk informed Plaintiff 22 that if he did not file the required documents within twenty-eight 23 days of the filing date of the notices, his case would be dismissed, 24 the file closed and the entire filing fee would be due and payable. 25 On March 13, 2013, Plaintiff submitted a letter to the 26 Court requesting an extension of time, to May 5, 2013, to file a 27 complaint and an application to proceed IFP. 28 For good cause 1 appearing, the Court GRANTS the request. 2 IFP application are now due on May 5, 2013.
