Plaintiff, a California state inmate proceeding pro se, filed a pro se civil rights

17

action pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983. The events of which Plaintiff complains occurred at

18

the California Health Care Facility (“CHCF”). The Defendants whom Plaintiff names are

19

located at CHCF. CHCF is located with the Eastern District of California. See 28 U.S.C.

20

§ 84(b). Venue therefore is proper in the Eastern District of California, and not in this one.

21

See 28 U.S.C. § 1391(b). Accordingly, in the interest of justice and pursuant to 28 U.S.C.

22

§ 1406(a), this case is TRANSFERRED to the United States District Court for the Eastern

23

District of California. In view of the transfer, the Court will not rule upon Plaintiff’s

24

motion. Dkt. No. 2. The Clerk of the Court is directed to transfer the case forthwith.
