Movant Patricia Barald of Covington & Burling LLP, on behalf of Lorillard Tobacco

Company, respectfully moves this Court, pursuant to LCvR 83.2(d) of the Rules of the United
States District Court for the District of Columbia, for an Order allowing the admission as
attorneys pro hac vice of Scott Danzis, Floyd Abrams, Joel Kurtzberg and Kayvan Sadeghi to
appear in this action as counsel for to represent Plaintiff Lorillard Tobacco Company in this case.

Messrs. Abrams, Kurtzberg and Sadeghi, are attorneys with the law firm of Cahill

Gordon & Reindel LLP, Eighty Pine Street, New York, New York 10005. Each of them is a
member in good standing of each Bar to which he is admitted, and has never been disciplined.
The Declaration of Messrs. Abrams, Kurtzberg and Sadeghi indicating their qualifications for
admission pro hac vice as set forth in LCvR 83.2(d) are attached hereto.

Mr. Danzis is an attorney with the law firm of Covington & Burling LLP, 1201

Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Washington, DC 20004. He is a member in good standing of each
Bar to which he is admitted, and has never been disciplined. The Declaration of Mr. Danzis
indicating his qualifications for admission pro hac vice as set forth in LCvR 83.2(d) is also
attached hereto.

Ms. Barald has been admitted to practice before this Court since September 6, 1977, and

will be actively associated with Messrs. Danzis, Abrams, Kurtzberg and Sadeghi during this
matter.
