PROPOSED ORDER
Upon consideration of plaintiff’s motion for a temporary restraining order and
preliminary injunction, any opposition thereto and reply is support thereof, and all other pertinent
papers, it is hereby
ORDERED that plaintiff’s motion for a temporary restraining order and preliminary
injunction is GRANTED;
ORDERED that the Federal Trade Commission shall, within five (5) days of the date of
this Order, exercise its authority pursuant to 15 U.S.C. §§ 45(l) and 56(a)(2) to enforce its
Decision and Order, In the Matter of Google Inc., a Corporation, FTC File No. 102 3136 (Oct.
13, 2011); and
ORDERED that the Federal Trade Commission shall prohibit the imminent “unfair and
deceptive” trade practices, described in its Decision and Order, by enjoining Google’s proposed
privacy policy and business practice changes before they take place on March 1, 2012.
