Thompson v. The Florida Bar Doc. 281 IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FOR THE SOUTHERN DISTRICT OF FLORIDA JOHN B. THOMPSON, Plaintiff, v. THE FLORIDA BAR and DAVA J. TUNIS, Defendants. PLAINTIFF'S REQUEST/MOTION THAT THE COURT TAKE JUDICIAL NOTICE COMES NOW plaintiff, John B. Thompson, hereinafter Thompson, as an attorney on his own behalf, and moves this court to take judicial notice of the following extraordinary facts, evidenced by the attached, of The Bar's maniacal and now downright bizarre pursuit of Thompson: As the court can see by the attached, The Bar and Norm Kent's attorney think that the undersigned's attempts to defend himself and his faith are now appropriately the basis for SLAPP Bar complaints against Thompson. The Bar's playing along with this is maybe even more shocking than Norm Kent's trafficking in obscenity via his law firm site. Thompson respectfully asks this court to actually read the attachments, rather than skipping over this Bar-generated nonsense. Norm Kent was the Christian-hating attorney who actually sought a court order, from Broward Circuit Court Judge Streitfeld, commanding Thompson not to quote Scripture. Why is it not surprising then, that Kent's attorney would seek to enlist the anti-Christian bias of The Bar in this latest descent into regulatory lunacy? Case No. 07-21256 (Judge Adalberto Jordan) 1 Dockets.Justia.com I HEREBY CERTIFY that this has been served upon record counsel this 29th day of October, 2007, electronically. /s/ JOHN B.
