JUSTICE CENTER’S MOTION FOR LEAVE TO FILE AMICUS BRIEF
The Roderick and Solange MacArthur Justice Center, by and through its
undersigned counsel, respectfully moves for leave to file an amicus brief in support
of Plaintiffs’ Motion for Temporary Restraining Order, filed March 8, 2017
[Dkt. No. 65].
Plaintiffs consent to the filing of the amicus brief; the Government takes no
position on this motion. As set forth more fully in the attached Memorandum in
Support of Motion, this Court has broad discretion to grant amicus curiae status to
the Roderick and Solange MacArthur Justice Center. A copy of the Roderick and
Solange MacArthur Justice Center’s proposed amicus brief is attached to the
accompanying Declaration of David J. Minkin as Exhibit “1.”
This motion is made pursuant to Rule 7 of the Federal Rules of Civil
Procedure and Rules 7.1 and 7.2 of the Local Rules for the United States District
Court for the District of Hawai‘i, and is based on the Memorandum in Support of
