EMPLOYMENT LAW ALLIANCE FOR LEAVE TO FILE BRIEF AS
AMICUS CURIAE IN SUPPORT OF PLAINTIFFS
Participating law firms of the Employment Law Alliance (“ELA”), by and
through its undersigned counsel, respectfully move for leave to file the attached brief
as amici curiae in support of Plaintiffs The State of Hawai’i and Ismail Elshikh’s
Motion for Temporary Restraining Order of the March 6, 2017, Executive Order
Protecting the Nation From Foreign Terrorist Entry into the United States
(“Executive Order”), filed March 8, 2017 [Dkt. No. 65].
Proposed Amici have Plaintiffs’ consent to file their Motion and are awaiting
Defendants’ consent to file their Motion. A copy of The Participating Law Firms of
the Employment Law Alliance’s proposed amicus brief is attached to the
accompanying Declaration of Anna Elento-Sneed as Exhibit “1.”
This motion is made pursuant to Rule 7 of the Federal Rules of Civil
Procedure and Rules 7.1 and 7.2 of the Local Rules for the Unite States District
Court for the District of Hawaii, and is based on the Memorandum in Support of
Motion, the attached Declaration of Anna Elento-Sneed, Exhibit “1,” and the records
and files in this case.
