The battery inside the first generation iPhone (4GB, 8GB, and 16GB) is soldered to the motherboard. The battery inside the iPhone 3G is not soldered, but is almost as hard to access and replace. It is for these reasons that we decided that it would not be in our customers' best interest to offer a replacement kit (as much as we would have liked to!). Instead, we offer our expertise: we can safely replace the battery in your iPhone on the same day it arrives and ship it back to you the very next business day (If you are one of those folks that likes a challenge, you can purchase the battery only and remove our installation charge, but we highly recommend not doing this). If you are familiar with soldering, feel up to the challenge, and want to install the new www.ipodjuice.com battery yourself, proceed through the checkout process until right before you enter in your credit card information. Look for the section that says `Please consider adding these products to your order'. Look for the first item that says `Remove Installation Charge' with a negative dollar amount. Add a quantity of 1 and make sure to hit `Add to Cart' so you will not be charged for the installation.
