MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME FOR DEFENDANT,
REDEMPTORIST/NEW ORLEANS VICE PROVINCE AND
VERY REV. HARRY GRILE, C.Ss.R. AS PROVICIAL SUPERIOR
OF THE REDEMPTORISTS/DENVER PROVINCE
Defendants, Redemptorist/New Orleans Vice Province and Fr. Harry Grile, Provincial of the
Denver Province of the Redemptorist both made defendants herein in plaintiff’s complaint move the
Court for an extension of time. Domiciliary service was made upon the agent for service of process
of the Redemptorist/New Orleans Vice Province on or about December 8, 2011. Service was made
by long arm statute on Fr. Harry Grile, Provincial of the Denver Province of the Redemptorists on
or about December 13, 2011. Movers request an extension to answer these pleadings until January
17, 2012. Undersigned counsel certifies that there has been no previous requests on behalf of
Redemptorists/New Orleans Vice Province or Fr. Harry Grile of the Denver Province of the
Redemptorist for an extension of time and pursuant to the Middle District of Louisiana rules moves
the Court for a twenty (20) day extension from the date on which an answer or pleading would be
due to January 17, 2012 to answer or otherwise plead. Undersigned counsel has contacted the
attorney for the plaintiff, Ms. Felecia Peavey and she has no objection to this extension.
