Defendants PLAINTIFF'S MOTION FOR CONTINUANCE OF SETTLEMENT CONFERENCE Plaintiff, Albert Snyder, by and through his undersigned counsel, files the following Motion for continuance of a settlement conference: 1. By Order dated August 27, 2007, your Honorable Court referred the above
captioned case to the Hon. James K. Bredar, United States Magistrate Judge, for purposes of a settlement conference. 2. By Order dated August 31, 2007, Judge Bredar scheduled a settlement conference
of Thursday September 13, 2007, at 10:00 a.m., in Chambers, and directed all parties to be present in person. 3. Plaintiff is scheduled to be out of town on a planned prepaid vacation during the
period September 7 through September 17, 2007, and therefore respectfully requests the Court to continue the settlement conference until on or after September 18, 2007. 4. Plaintiff has communicated with counsel and with the pro se defendants, who all
concur in Plaintiff's request. In addition, counsel and pro se defendants are available on September 27 and October 1, 2007.

Pro se defendants were authorized to participate in the settlement conference via
Defendants Phelps and Westboro Baptist Church, Inc. have sought consent to
allow for participation via telephone and Plaintiff has concurred in that request as long as all parties are authorized to participate via telephone. All attorneys are available on the aforementioned dates to appear in person. 7. Plaintiff has no objection to any party participating via telephone for reasons
related to health, geography or employment. Defendants have concurred in the same. 8. Plaintiff believes and therefore avers that a short postponement of the conference
will not delay a meaningful mediation. WHEREFORE, Plaintiff, Albert Snyder, requests your Honorable Court continue the settlement conference presently scheduled for September 13, 2007.
