Studied estrogen in the male reproductive tract, ion transport, and calculi formation in the epididymis. Techniques used: microsomal preps, cell culture, immunocytochemistry, molecular biology, and electrophysiology. Thesis title: "Characterization of the Epididymal Region of the Rooster." 1988-1991 Undergraduate research with Dr. Robert Preston at Illinois State University and Mt. Desert Island Biological Lab., Maine. Studied the effects of mercury, on glucose and amino acid transport in marine polychaetes.
