Ibook versions
ibook systems V1 and 2 were in-house prototypes providing web services ahead of the general market.
Ibook System V3 adds behaviour to web pages with floating menus added to the content from a
template when browsing (along with adverts from Google Adsense). This uses javascript which sends
verbol messages to the ibook server. We have now added innovative voice features in the Ibook Voice
System including Voicechat. Please check out our Personal Voice System demo at voice.ibook.com.
In Ibook System V4 we are based on Google Apps. Google Apps already adds some behavior to
content such as sharing. The buttons for editing etc are close to but not in the content, like ibook system
V2. Our V4 adds behavior (manually initially) to Google Apps to use cooperatively with attributions and
to provide a base for specifying and enabling V5.
In V5 we intend to add behavior to any content so we can relate to it better and with identities create
ibots to act as verbol assistants we can script.

ibook system, eg templates. The voice system adds V3 AGI in Perl and V3 Asterisk recording routines
in C.

Improve Ibook System V4 by adding Ibook System features to Google Apps
Automate the manual processes described in modus operandum.
Implement the Verbol interface in App Engine so Google Apps can host Ibook Voice System V3
functionality.
Add spawning by which a site copies all or part of itself to into a new site, optionally changing identity
data in the process and creating derivation and attribution links.
Creation of citations when content is copied from one page or site and pasted in another.
Page templates we can modify and to include public comments and voting features.
We should be able to email to the start or end of a document or of a bookmark within a document.
Caching and local operation.

Ibook patents have been granted in the US and in many other countries. Here is the Ibook System Patent
Portfolio and below is the Abstract describing the invention.
An interactive Web book ("ibook") system is provided that allows material to be contributed to the World
Wide Web.
An ibook system is a self-extending, self-sustaining information-redistributing Web robot, which is
resident on a data network such as the Internet or an intranet.
Users may enroll with an ibook as viewers or contributors. Viewers may view ibook material, such as
text or multimedia content. Contributors may contribute original material to the ibook or may create
derivations of existing ibook material.

The ibook system keeps track of how often users access each work within an ibook system. Contributors
may be automatically rewarded (e.g., by a monetary distribution) based on the extent to which their
contributed material is viewed by the users.
