21 ** TEXT ONLY ORDER **
The Commissioner's motion 19 for a second 30−day extension of her response
deadline is GRANTED. This is the Commissioner's last extension of this deadline.
The court takes this opportunity to advise the Commissioner and Attorney Duncan
of a change in its policy: This court NO LONGER WILL GRANT SECOND
EXTENSIONS OF BRIEFING DEADLINES IN SOCIAL SECURITY
DISABILITY CASES. EACH SIDE IS LIMITED TO ONE 30−DAY
EXTENSION. This policy change is made after due consideration of the workloads
of the attorneys on both sides of these cases. Because the court did not announce
this policy change in advance, the court will allow second extensions of 14 days for
any case in which a party's first extension already is running and will expire
between September 11 and September 19, 2014. Brief in Opposition due
10/14/2014. Brief in Reply due 10/29/2014. Signed by Magistrate Judge Stephen L.
Crocker on 9/11/2014. (arw) (Entered: 09/11/2014)
