Jared Bobrow, Matthew D. Powers and Edward Reines, litigation partners in Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP's Silicon Valley office,
were selected as Top Intellectual Property Lawyers in California for 2011 by The Los Angeles and San Francisco Daily Journal.
The Daily Journal is a leading provider of print and online legal news and information in California. All were cited for their
expertise in patent litigation matters over the past year.
Bobrow, co-head of Weil's Patent Litigation practice, was cited for obtaining dismissal of a major patent infringement suit filed
against Micron Technology, Inc. and for his work on behalf of clients C.R. Bard, Inc. and Dell Inc.
Powers, who is co-chair of the firm's Litigation Department, was recognized for his role as co-counsel for Microsoft Corp. in a
closely-watched matter that centers on establishing the evidentiary standard sufficient to invalidate a patent claim at trial, as well
as his high-stakes win on behalf of Merck and Co., successfully protecting its patent on brain cancer drug Temodar®.
Reines was designated a top IP lawyer, recognizing, among other things, his appointment by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the
Federal Circuit to chair its advisory council. He has held similar positions in the patent law field, including past president of the
Federal Circuit Bar Association and chairman of the Patent Rules Advisory Committee of the Northern District of California. This

court sits.
