Jeff Han
Founder, Chief Technology Officer
Jeff Han is the founder and chief technology officer of Perceptive Pixel. Jeff is credited for
dramatically introducing multi-touch to the mainstream through his demo at the TED conference
(2006). The publication of his techniques has led to a resurgence of research and practice in the field.
Jeff’s work has traditionally encompassed the fields of computer graphics and multimedia systems,
but is now refocused towards machine learning and HCI (human-computer interaction). Jeff has built
Perceptive Pixel into a successful, profitable and rapidly growing business working with top-tier
partners in such industries as government, defense/intelligence, media & entertainment, energy/oil &
gas, and higher education.
Among other honors, Jeff was named to the Time 100 Most Influential Persons list in 2008. He
continues to contribute frequently to research communities and publications.
Jeff was formally trained in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Cornell University, where
he worked on the innovative CU-SeeMe videoconferencing system.
Bob Pette
Chief Operating Officer
Bob joined Perceptive Pixel Inc. from NVIDIA Corporation, where he was vice president, global
solutions, responsible for building a team of solution specialists that showcased NVIDIA’s visual
computing technologies for the Quadro and Tesla brands. Before NVIDIA, Bob spent 21 years at
Silicon Graphics where he held positions in systems engineering; visualization hardware and software
product development; application and customer benchmarking; customer services; operations; and
corporate marketing.
Bob received his B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Tech and his B.S. in Mathematics from
the University of Tampa.
