SEVENTH CIRCUIT RULE 3(C) AMENDED DOCKETING STATEMENT
The District Court had federal question jurisdiction, pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1331, over
Plaintiff’s Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) interference and retaliation claims.
On December 17, 2021, the District Court issued an Opinion and Order granting Plaintiff’s
motion for attorney’s fees, costs, and expenses. Defendant filed a timely Notice of Appeal from
that Order on December 22, 2021. On December 23, 2021 the District Court entered judgment,
which awarded attorney’s fees and entered declaratory judgment as set forth in its May 21, 2021,
Opinion and Order on the merits granting a declaratory judgment and allowing Plaintiff to move
for attorney’s fees. The Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals has jurisdiction over this appeal pursuant
to 28 U.S.C. § 1291.
