enormously s u c c e s s f u l and acknowledge t h a t Trek h a s done a g r e a t j o b w i t h it - i n t h e United S t a t e s , which ( d o n ' t h o l d m e t o e x a c t f i g u r e ) I u n d e r s t a n d r e p r e s e n t s 95% of t o t a l sales. But t h e r e r e a l l y must b e more e f f o r t i n Europe. Backing o f f o f t h e s p o n s o r s h i p i n J u n e ( f o l l o w i n g t h e L'Equipe a r t i c l e ) a f t e r having Dean t e l l Greg i t was a go i n May r e a l l y r a i s e s eyebrows. T h i s i s especially so since there is precious l i t t l e other e f f o r t e i n Europe. W have, a s i n i t i a l l y r e f l e c t e d i n t h e r e v i s e d agreement, urged more p r o m o t i o n and more e f f o r t f o r f o r e i g n s a l e s . Bob, i t i s c l e a r t h a t a d v e r s i t y ( o r p e r c e i v e d - d v e r s i t y ) has b r o u g h t o u t changes i n f e e l i n g s and conduct of t h e p r i n c i p a l s . A ' e l a t i o n s h i p t h a t s t a r t e d o u t i n c l u d i n g a r e a s o n a b l y s t r o n g p e r s o n a l component has metamorphosized i n t o a f a r more formal and p u r e l y b u s i n e s s one. Greg s t a n d s r e a d y t o c o o p e r a t e and p a r t i c i p a t e , b u t needs T r e k t o s t e p up t o t h e p l a t e and meet i t s c o n t r a c t u a l obligation.
